
London Housing Associates is a semi-independent housing provider located in the heart of Thornton Heath, near local shops, parks, leisure facilities and train stations. We provide safe, comfortable home for care leavers, homeless teenagers and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, where they can learn the essential life skills they will need when they transition to independent living. We provide a caring environment for disadvantaged young people who have had a difficult start in life and young adults in crisis.
We support young ex- offenders to move forward in their lives and overcome issues that may be holding them back in life. Our home provides a safe and nurturing environment.
Here, the young adults can motivate themselves by enrolling onto structured activities in the area.
We are not just a housing provider, but we also provide tenancy-related support and other services that will enable individuals to live successfully in the community.
Our semi-independent home is more than just somewhere for the boys and girls to live: it bridges the gap between childhood and adulthood so that a young person is prepared for the challenges of living independently. The type of accommodation we offer varies depending on the need of the young person. However, no matter what the circumstances is, we will try our best to accommodate the young person by offering our support within our housing services they live in.
Staff will always support young people to work towards their goals and build their confidence for the future, prior to leaving London Associates.
Our professional staff offer advice and support to help them on their journey to independence. They are at all times available to any young person who wants to seek advice from staff on issues like managing tenancies, drug and alcohol awareness, or securing employment.
They will help the young person set targets, staff will continue to help with issues that could be difficult for the young person to deal with. London Associates like to see the achievement which young people achieve while residing at London Associates. We help them to climb and reach the top of the mountain.
Our aim and purpose at London Associates are to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young adult 16-25years in a high standard accommodation.
Promoting a positive relationship with the young adults which will benefit and enable them to develop in a positive way. Enhancing the right culture that is conductive to learning, education, training and employment. Ensuring resources and support are available, to encourage our young adults to gain and maintain employment, education, which will stop them from re-offending.
Provision of staff to inspire and counsel individuals to build better lives and relationships to their optimum potential, or personal satisfaction, in supportive non-judgmental and anti-discriminatory environments, to enable them to develop the skills to live independently when they get their own home.
We are committed to developing policies to meet the needs of people with disabilities where possible work towards getting adaptations put in.
Following all disability discrimination legislation and making sure our services are accessible for people with disabilities. London Housing Associates works in partnership with Local Authority, Parents and any other professionals and outside agencies, to ensure the young adults can maximize their full potential. We promote a place of safety for every young adult against gangs, bullying etc.
